SCOPE OF WORK
Tank Information:
The structure is a 200,000-gallon spheroid tank with a low-water level of 76.25 ft. located at 350 Park Ave. in Parchment, Michigan.
The work includes:
Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a
SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane fluoropolymer system.
Dry Interior: Spot power tool clean the spot failures throughout to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a spot two (2) coat epoxy system to the prepared surfaces.
Foundation: Repair spalls. Water clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system.
Modifications:
- Replace the wet interior roof hatch.
- Replace the access tube roof hatch.
- Trim the platform hatch covers.
- Install ladder extension at the condensate platform.
- Install deflector bars on the fill/draw pipe.
- Install a chemical feed tap on the fill/draw pipe.
- Replace the expansion joint.
- Replace the mud valve.
- Replace the condensate drain line.
- Install an overflow flap gate.
- Install a fall prevention device on the basebell ladder.
- Install a pressure vacuum vent.
- Install a seal at the access tube air gap.
- Weld a rigging lug on the bowl.
- Install opening for ventilation in the basebell.
- Reroute the overflow pipe and install a duck bill check valve - alternate.
- Install a shutter for a ventilation system in the basebell.
- Install a flow meter on the fill/draw pipe.
- Replace the dry interior light bulbs.
- Install electrical receptacle for ventilation.
- Install an electrical receptacle for the flow meter.
Cathodic Protection: Install an impressed current cathodic protection system.
Splash Pad: Install a concrete splash pad at the overflow pipe discharge.
