DART Parking Lot

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Big Rapids in the Treasurer’s office located at 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, Michigan 49307 until 3:00 PM local time, September 11th, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Items of work include site grading, installation of an underground stormwater detention system, connections to existing storm sewer, construction of an HMA parking lot, site lighting, HMA removal and replacement, concrete curb and gutter, traffic control, landscaping surface restoration, and all related work.

Bidding Documents will be made available at the City of Big Rapids Public Works Office located at 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, Michigan 49307 or on the City’s website by clicking here beginning Friday September 1st, 2023.

This project is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The project is subject to prevailing wage rates as attached in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, which a certified payroll must be submitted weekly. The Federal requirement for this project is Construction Less than $150,000 and are attached. A signed copy of page 1 of the federal requirements must be submitted with the bid. A signed copy of the attached Certification of Compliance with Federal Contract Clauses must also be submitted with the bid.

All sealed proposals shall be clearly marked “DART PARKING LOT”. The City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for sound, documentable, business reasons or to waive informalities, and to award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
