The Department of Veterans Affairs, Aleda E. Lutz VAMC located at Saginaw, Michigan requires a comprehensive confined space evaluation and associated employee training to help minimize safety risks that may be associated with confined space entry. A site visit will be arranged for review of the facility. Aleda E. Lutz VAMC needs to maintain compliance with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration s standard for Confined Space Entry, 29 CFR 1910.146 and Confined Space in Construction Standard, 29 CFR 1926. Aleda E. Lutz VAMC has requested support to deploy safety expertise and services to conduct a confined space evaluation, which will include an audit, space identification and classification, entry procedures, and employee training for permit and non-permit required confined spaces located throughout the Saginaw campus. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supplies (i.e. manhole cover remover), equipment and reports for confined space identification and auditing, space classification, entry procedure identification, hazards with the confined spaces and employee training. In addition, update the required confined space program for the facility including review and updates on internal and contractor forms for entry.
