THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY



This announcement will be used for preliminary planning purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) nor the Solicitation. No proposal is being requested or accepted with the sources sought, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests.



The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Detroit District is seeking information from firms, that have the capability to provide construction services for Muskegon and Holland North Revetment Repair. Interested parties should identify whether they can do project 1 or 2 or both. (If no project is identified it would be assumed interest and capabilities of either or both).



The work includes the following:



Muskegon: (Project 1)



Base contract repairs will require removal and replacement of the reinforced concrete walkway, excavation, engineered fill to support replaced concrete panels, use of geotextile reinforcement, subgrade preparation, removal and replacement of railing posts to meet safety requirements, removal of any woody vegetation along repair area, replenishing of riprap to match As-built, and excavation and backfilling of sinkholes. The repair area is approximately 2,300 LF.



Holland North Revetment Repair: (Project 2)



Base contract repairs will require reconstructing and raising 500 LFT of the structure to an estimated elevation of 585.5 ft IGLD85 to match gage house elevation (leaving existing structure in place), installation of new steel sheet pile, reinforced concrete slab, transition of concrete walkway from higher elevation of section E to the lower elevation of section F, engineered fill as needed, removal and replacement of obsolete designed railing posts to meet safety requirements, removal of any woody vegetation along repair area, installation of new riprap, and excavation and backfilling of sinkholes.



The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is contemplating to solicit this requirement as an Invitation for Bid (IBF) Full and Open Competition. However, the result of the market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement and feasible set-aside opportunities.



THIS IS NOT A SOLICATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE.



Qualified companies are encouraged to respond.



The Contractor will have an estimated 540 calendar days to complete this requirement.



The contract is expected to be awarded around July 2023.



The estimate cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (per project).



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has small business size standard in $39.5 million of dollars.



The responses received to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages, including the Source Sought Information Form (Attachment of this Notice).
