Sealed proposals for East Grand Rapids Playground Improvements at Breton Downs, Lakeside and Wealthy Elementary schools in the City of East Grand Rapids Michigan will be received on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:00 am at the City of East Grand Rapids, 750 Lakeside Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
The scope of this project includes improvements at the following school locations:
Breton Downs Elementary 2500 Boston St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Lakeside Elementary 2325 Hall St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Wealthy Elementary 1961 Lake Dr SE, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Bidders may provide costs for 1,2 or 3 school locations.

Begin Construction Monday, April 17, 2023
Construction Complete Friday, November 15, 2024
Specific items include installation of owner purchased playground equipment; supply and install of playground surfacing, parking area, shelter structures; ballfield including stone dust, backstop, fencing and turf seeding; fencing including ball control netting, basketball courts, other court resurfacing, bituminous pavement, concrete pavement, seat and retaining walls, storm and crossfield drainage, fencing and gates, site lighting and electrical work, landscaping and lawn seeding.
Bid documents will be available for examination at the Builder’s Exchange of Grand Rapids, 678 Front Ave N.W. Ste 300, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506, or website at www.grbx.com, and at Dodge Data & Analytics website at www.contruction.com. Bid documents will also be available for distribution only at M. C. Smith Associates and Architectural Group, Inc., 529 Greenwood Avenue S.E., East Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
A non-refundable charge of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) will be required for each bid set picked up at MCSA Group, Inc. An additional non-refundable charge of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) will be charged for UPS ground shipping or an additional non-refundable charge of Forty Dollars ($40.00) will be charged for UPS overnight shipping.
Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft of bid bond of an approved surety company doing business in Michigan in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount proposed based upon the number of locations for which bids are provided. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders of the bid documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts of the same, waive any irregularities, and to accept any bid in their own best interest.
