The Allen Park Fire Department, acting as the host agency, and the City of Lincoln Park Fire Department, are requesting sealed bids to provide self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and related equipment for use in fire protection and to assure agency interoperability.
Award of the bid is to be funded in part with federal funds through the FY2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG). Funding is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions of the award. All prospective bidders shall comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, executive orders, AFG/FEMA requirements and the terms and conditions of the funding award. In addition, bidders providing submittals shall be responsible for complying with state and local laws and ordinances.
In order to be considered, all bid responses must be submitted in writing by mail or hand delivery no later than 3:00 pm on April 14, 2023. Bidders mailing bid packages should allow for delivery time to ensure timely receipt of the bid. The responsibility for getting the bid response to the Allen Park City Clerk’s office on or before the specified date and time is solely the responsibility of the submitting bidder. The City of Allen Park shall in no way be responsible for delays caused by any occurrence.
The approved overall scope of work is as follows and must be compliant with NFPA 1981 2019:

  • 16 SCBA Units. Each unit shall consist of one (1) SCBA backpack, one (1) SCBA face piece mask, and two (2) SCBA bottles
  • 28 SCBA mask bags
  • 12 additional SCBA face piece masks
