The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Detroit District is seeking information from firms, that have the capability to provide construction services for Muskegon Harbor South Revetment Repair. The work includes the following:
Base contract repairs will require preparation and installation of a French Drain system, use of flowable fill, removal and replacement of the reinforced concrete walkway, removal and replacement of railing posts to match existing, temporary removal of any existing structure to be reinstalled, backfilling of any existing sinkholes. The repair area is approximately 500 LF.
The Contractor will have an estimated 240 calendar days to complete this requirement.
The contract is expected to be awarded around September 2023.
The estimate cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has small business size standard in $45 million of dollars.
This Sources Sought Notice is for planning and market research purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). This requirement is considered a new effort. The contract is expected to be solicited in August 2023 as a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The result of the market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement and feasible set-aside opportunities.Qualified companies are encouraged to respond.
Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice is voluntary. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought Notice. This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion.
Interested and qualified companies are encouraged to respond. The responses received to this Notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages, including the Sources Sought Information Form. Please include all pages in one (1) .pdf file for submission. Attachments with files ending in “.zip” or “.exe” are not allowable and files will be stripped and deleted from any emails received by the Government. In order for the Government to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the project, interested contractors shall complete the information attached to this Sources Sought.
